Bylaws of Libertarian Party of Delta County

I. Identification

1. The name of this organization is the Libertarian Party of Delta County or LPDCO. The LPDCO is a Political Party Committee, duly registered with the Delta County clerk under the Fair Campaign Practices Act of Colorado.
2. The Libertarian Party of Delta Colorado is a recognized affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Colorado.
3. The legal address of the LPDCO is:
   1. 707 Dodge Street, Delta, CO, 81416

II. Structure and Organization

1. Libertarian Party of Delta County consists of the members and their duly elected Officers.
2. Official actions of Libertarian Party of Delta County may be held at any time or place approved by the Board of Directors.
3. Positions of the Board of Directors may be created or removed by a ¾ majority vote of the members present.
4. Amendments of these By-laws must be approved by a ¾ majority vote of the members present.

III. Purpose

1. To promote libertarian values, ideas, and candidates.
2. The Board of Directors must describe any action to this end.

IV. Membership

1. Members must be registered as Libertarians for 90 days residing in Delta County.
2. Members elect Officers of the Board of Directors by a majority vote of ¾.
3. Chair will establish voting procedures.
4. A ¾ majority vote of the Board of directors may allow exceptions to membership requirements.
5. Dues are voluntary at $5/month or $50/year.

V. Board of Directors

1. The Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County is composed of the following Officers:
   1. Chair
   2. Secretary-Treasurer
   3. Outreach Director*
   4. Webmaster *
      (* these positions may be vacant)
2.  Duties
   1. Chair
      1. Ensure that the activities of the Libertarian Party of Delta County are conducted in a timely, responsible manner.
      2. Chair all meetings of the Board.
      3. Set the agenda for the Board meetings.
      4. Regulate and rule on all votes by members of the Board and the general members on any considered issues.
      5. Co-ordinate with the Libertarian Party of Colorado Chair.
   2. Secretary-Treasurer
      1. Keep all financial records of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
      2. Maintain a bank account in the name of the Libertarian Party of Delta County, and sign all checks drawn upon that account.
      3. Disclose financial information concerning the Libertarian Party of Delta County upon request of appropriate parties.
      4. Record and maintain the minutes of the meetings.
      5. Is acting chair when the Chair is absent.
      6. Coordinate with the LPCO Treasurer.
   3. Outreach Director
      1. Use the resources of the Libertarian Party of Delta County to promote the Libertarian Party.
      2. Coordinate with the LPCO Outreach Director.
   4. Webmaster
      1. Maintain the electronic presence of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
      2. Coordinate with the LPCO Webmaster.
3. Actions of the Board of Directors
   1. Official actions of the Libertarian Party of Delta County must be approved by all members of the Libertarian Party of Delta County Board of Directors by unanimous vote.
   2. Members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County may vote by any means at their disposal, subject to approval by Chair.
   3. Members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County may delegate responsibilities to any general member subject to approval of Chair.
   4. All members of the Board of Directors of the Libertarian Party of Delta County will be responsible and accountable for all official actions of the Libertarian Party of Delta County.
4. Election of Officers
   1. Officers are elected by the members for a twelve-month term.
   2. Officers are elected by ¾ majority vote of all members present.
   3. Officers may be elected to the Board at any time subject to approval of members.
5. Removal of Officers
   1. Officers may be removed at anytime by a ¾ majority vote of the Board of Directors or ¾ majority vote of members.
